Red Devil RX 7900 XTX Limited Edition

We have to take a stand for PowerColor's Radeon RX 7900 XTX RedDevil. The card comes in a super elegant packaging, looks very high quality on the outside and even after a closer look.
The new iteration has been implemented well as a limited edition. The custom backplate is a great gimmick. A red and black backplate is included in the limited edition and in early 2023 PowerColor will offer special backplates for sale for all consumers that can be retrofitted. Cooling and aRGB lighting is also great. The card is very quiet in operation, even under full load.
In terms of performance, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX RedDevil does a great job, leaving the GeForce RTX 4080 in the shadows. Only in ray tracing games does it not quite come close to the Nvidia competition. But the performance is still great.

Once again, Powercolor does not do things by halves! The card is superb and the imposing heatsink allows it to stay cool in any condition and above all in absolute silence. If the fans fire, they are ultra quiet given their low speed. Powercolor innovates by offering an additional backplate bundle . As we told you, Powercolor will continue to offer other backplates in 2023 that can be purchased individually.

In io-tech's tests, PowerColor's 7900 XTX Red Devil was a few percent more efficient than AMD's own 7900 XTX, but the biggest differences were seen in the temperature and noise level of the graphics chip due to the larger cooling. PowerColor's Red Devil graphics chip worked 6 degrees cooler and the noise level was clearly 2.5 decibels quieter. In addition, a little more overclocking space for the graphics chip was found in the graphics card.

In this case, Powercolor, from my modest point of view, makes a great management for it's RGB implementation. And especially with the aesthetic change compared to the new 7900 XTX. The perimeter band at the bottom of the card makes it look quite elegant and not at all garish.

The Hellhound RX 7900 XTX is a good Radeon card choice for those who game at 2560×1440 or at 4K and want the best that AMD has to offer. It represents a good gaming alternative to the RTX 4080 albeit with weaker ray tracing performance. It is offered especially for those who prefer AMD cards and FreeSync2 enabled displays which are generally less expensive than Gsync displays. And if a gamer is looking for something extra above the reference version, the PowerColor Hellhound RX 7900 XTX is a very well-made and good-looking card that will overclock better.
We are giving the Hellhound RX 7900 XTX BTR 's Recommended Award.
The Verdict:
PowerColor 's Hellhound RX 7900 XTX is a solidly-built handsome card with higher clocks out of the box than the same-priced reference version. It trades blows with the RTX 4080 in rasterized games. It is a kick ass RX 7900 XTX.

Focusing on the PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX Hellhound, this offers a fairly conventional triple-fan heatsink to keep temperatures at bay with pretty good sound, as long as we don't overclock. However, the coil whine is quite appreciable, something we do not know if it is from this unit, this model or these in general. Also, consumption is not something that NVIDIA is better at, something we would expect if it were to happen.

The performance increase is good for the Radeon RX 6950 XT Red Devil because the performance has increased significantly compared to the RX 6900 XT. In both 1080P titles and 4k titles, it gets more FPS for the player due to the higher clock. AMD has set the RTX 3090 as a target, and this mark was reached or partly surpassed or undercut. Depending on the benchmark, the result is different. Here, the cooperation between AMD and Nvidia with the game developers is essentially related to the performance.
The brute cooler of the RedDevil Edition is more than adequately dimensioned and also looks extremely good. The ARGB lighting is nice and probably meets the needs of most gamers.
The quality of the card is top level, there is nothing to complain about.

In terms of performance, the Radeon RX 6650 XT Red Devil has definitely gotten better and can outperform an overclocked RX 6600 XT. The silicon seems to have been optimized here. Compared to the RX 6600 XT, more power has definitely been achieved. With the RX 6650 XT replacing the RX 6900 XT, that's definitely a good thing when it comes to performance. Due to the beta driver, the card weakened in Battlefield V in 1080P, but it did well in 4k titles. According to our measurements, the Radeon RX 6650 XT is below the GeFroce RTX 3060 Ti in terms of performance .
The large cooler of the RedDevil Edition is quite large and thus offers good cooling performance with acceptable noise levels.

We're looking at the middle child today, courtesy of PowerColor who provided us with the RX 6750 XT Red Devil. It's an attractive card with a thick thermal solution, three fans and the usual port arrangement: three DisplayPort 1.4 ports and one HDMI 2.1 port. As the name suggests, it lights up in a hellish red colour, and requires two eight-pin auxiliary power inputs.

The new Radeon RX 6650 XT offer extra performance that allows the RDNA 2 architecture to be further accelerated with somewhat less efficient models, but which are still more efficient than those of the competition. Focusing on the PowerColor Hellhound Radeon RX 6650 XT , we get a relatively compact model with a good OC from the factory and a heatsink that keeps temperatures and noise at bay , in addition to having a dose of RGB lighting on the fans and the logo of the backplate.
