The distance to the reference versions will also ensure that the card of PowerColor sometimes quite clearly is close to the Radeon HD 7950 and even the GeForce GTX 580 is matched. For a map of the middle class very good.

The PowerColor PCS+ 7870 in particular is a very impressive card, and for those who want great gaming performance without dropping a fortune, this is a card to get. It looks fabulous, beats a GTX 580, is very well priced, and offers an excellent overall package.

PCS+ HD7870 GHz Edition 2GB GDDR5 2012/03

The PCS+ HD7870 is fairly typical of what will be launching; it’s a factory overclocked card with a heatpipe based open air cooler. PowerColor has pushed the card to 1100MHz core, 4.9GHz memory, representing a 100MHz (10%) overclock and a much more mild 100MHz (2%) memory overclock. Given the very high overclockability we’ve seen in the entire Radeon HD 7000 series, PowerColor is one of the partners looking to take advantage of that headroom to stand out from the pack.

PCS+ HD7870 Myst. Edition 2GB GDDR5(UEFI READY) 2012/12

Solid in terms of pure performance but a little lacking in other areas, notably power-draw and noise, the PowerColor HD 7870 Myst straddles a thin sliver of middle ground that limits its appeal to those who want to spend less than £200 on their next graphics card and don't mind sacrificing all-round excellence for pure gaming speed.

PCS+ HD7870 Myst. Edition 2GB GDDR5(UEFI READY) 2012/12

PCS+ Myst card is a solid product with decent build quality and the usual branded parts, like Elpida memory, used throughout. The use of a metal shroud is a nice touch and we like the selection of display outputs which should suit most consumers.
When it comes to value the PowerColor PCS+ 7870 Myst is hard to fault. It is cheaper than the comparable NVIDIA part and had a decent gaming bundle which includes a free copy of Far Cry 3 and money off the latest Medal of Honor.
