TurboDuo HD7790 1GB GDDR5 OC | 2013/04 | For the price this graphics card actually performs quite good, especially when gaming at or below 1920x1080. When gaming at this resolution most titles, including demanding games such as Battlefield 3, Tomb Raider and Farcry 3 had no issues reach a smooth frame rate and to our eyes there was no microstutter occurring during our testing. Beyond the performance the PowerColor TurboDuo proved to be an outstanding graphics card. During our testing the dual fans proved to be extremely quiet while playing games and the temperature of the Bonaire GPU remained low during our testing as well. The new design also has a sleek and sexy look to that reminds us of the Devil 13, the $1000 graphics card with two Tahiti XT cores. In addition, the quality components used in conjunction with the TurboDuo heatsink allowed us to increase the core clock by 15% and the memory by 16%, which gave the card a decent boost in performance. |

TurboDuo HD7790 1GB GDDR5 OC | 2013/04 | PowerColor Radeon HD7790 TurboDuo Overclocked Edition of 1024 MB of 128-bit GDDR5 PCI-E — very attractive accelerator of the average and budgetary Radeon family because of the great cooling system, which not only highly effective, but also quiet because of features of design. The accelerator successfully competes with the rival in the person of GeForce GTX 650 Ti. |

TurboDuo HD7790 1GB GDDR5 OC | 2013/04 | The R7790 is a nice addition in the lower segment of the dedicated consumer graphics card market. Merely a year after the release of the 7770 this 7790 was introduced and really, it's a nice little card that offers decent muscle to play today's games with the understanding that you need to place this product where it belongs, upper-segment entry level. And yeah, PowerColor did a really nice job with this product series. |

PCS+ HD7870 Myst. Edition 2GB GDDR5(UEFI READY) | 2013/04 | There are some interesting things happening here with the Tahiti-based PowerColor PCS 7870 Myst Edition card. While it shares the same name as the Pitcairn-based 7870, the differences are in the details, as this PowerColor card is essentially a detuned version of the 7950. It’s obviously handcuffed in a few areas, and AMD designed it that way to drop down into the market against the GTX 660. There’s some strong competition (and some confusion likely) here, both from AMD partners and Nvidia. On that note, the 7870 Myst Edition trades blows with Nvidia’s GTX 660, so there’s not much to worry about on the AMD side of the equation. That said, cards in this price range aren’t solely about framerates; temperatures, noise levels, and dollar value are likely just as important. And on those criteria, the PowerColor PCS 7870 Myst Edition matches up rather well against the competition. The temperatures are quite good, the cooler exhibits low noise levels at load, and with a price of about $260, this card is also attractive. However, the value becomes outstanding when you consider that Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite are supposed to be included as part of AMD’s “Never Settle Reloaded” promotion. |

TurboDuo HD7790 1GB GDDR5 OC | 2013/03 | We believe that board partners need to revisit the HD 7790 and launch smaller, cheaper cards, preferably single-slot, such that they play on the enviable power characteristics of the Bonaire GPU - something that the GTX 650 Ti Boost/660 and HD 7850 cannot replicate. |

TurboDuo HD7790 1GB GDDR5 OC | 2013/03 | we see nice performance results that sit right in between the HD 7770 GHz Edition and HD 7850. This makes the HD 7790 capable of full-HD 1080p gaming, but in some titles, you might have to go easy on anti-aliasing levels, or reduce details slightly for the best gaming experience. PowerColor's HD 7790 Turbo Duo comes with a GPU overclock out of the box, which is good for a 3% performance improvement over the reference design. |

PCS+ HD7870 Myst. Edition 2GB GDDR5(UEFI READY) | 2013/03 | The PowerColor PCS HD7870 MYST 2GB video card uses the 'new' Tahiti LE GPU core and it's a monster for $249.99 shipped. It features a 975MHz core clock with 2GB of GDDR5 memory running at 1500MHz (6.0Gbps) and it's significantly faster than the usual AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz edition graphics card. We personally feel that AMD should have called this card the AMD Radeon HD 7930, so it wouldn't get lost in the mix of Radeon HD 7870 cards, but they didn't. The card was able to overclock up to 1235MHz on the core and we were able to get an extra 100MHz out of the Elpida GDDR5 memory. The performance jumped up over 10% thanks to this large overclock and can help justify the higher price of this card if all overclock this good. |
